If you haven't already, be sure to check out our Schedule/Events page, where you can stay tuned for the latest in event updates, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter feed.

There's still time to sign up for our workshops for writers, the first from Guest of Honor Grammar Girl Mignon Fogarty! Do you find yourself struggling to remember when it's affect and effect? Is grammar making you stress out? If you've made any one of these common grammatical errors, never fear, help is here! Mignon Fogarty's workshop takes place on Friday, September 21 (time to be announced). Want to check out some of Mignon's great grammar books now, but not sure which one to start with? Check out some of her books below!

For prose, R.J. Cavender of Cutting Block Press presiding over the "Self-Editing for Fiction Writers Workshop" based on the fantastic book of the same name by Rennie Browne and Dave King. If you haven't read it yet, we urge you to--it has countless great tips for writers of all levels, and covers everything from dialogue and exposition to point of view and interior monologue, plus much more! This workshop takes place on Saturday, September 22 (time to be announced). Both workshops cost $35 individually, but why not combine them and save? The cost for attending both workshops is $50--take advantage of this great deal as spots are limited :-) Visit our schedule/events page to sign up or for more information.

Planning to pitch to editors at the convention? Pitches are taking place Saturday, September 22, and include such publishers as Cutting Block Press, Samhain, Redrum Horror, and much more! For a full list of pitch sessions, visit our pitch page.

But what would KillerCon be without its signature Gross-Out contest! Deadite Press is the official sponsor. More details to be announced soon.

Like your splatter? Pat MacEwan is back this year with an Alien Autopsy! More information to come soon.

And who could forget about those awesome parties that KillerCon is famous for? Samhain is first up on Thursday night (September 20), followed by Shock Totem on Friday night (September 21), and a double-whammy of Cutting Block Press and Deadite teaming up to deliver one hell of a good time on Saturday night (September 22)!

If you haven't already signed up to attend KillerCon, just a reminder that there's just under two weeks to take advantage of the $99 rate, which is in effect until June 1!
